The next variant to watch...

Omicron XE has been identified in the UK, a combination of the Omicron BA.1 and BA.2 variants. Early data suggests it may be 10% more transmissible than the BA.2 variant, which is the most contagious of all the COVID variants, and one of the "most contagious diseases in human history." It's too soon to tell if it makes people sicker, but I will keep you updated as we learn more.
